I’m Anne-Marie, a psychotherapist providing support for children and adolescents in a safe, welcoming setting. I offer both short-term and longer-term therapy, depending on each child’s needs. I also work with parents and carers to help them better understand what their child may be experiencing and how best to respond.
I offer a containing space to explore a wide range of emotional, behavioural and mental health difficulties. My approach is to consider how a child’s feelings, experiences and relationships may be influencing the way they think, feel and behave.
Every child and young person is different, so I adapt the way I work to suit their age, individual needs and stage of development. Therapy can help them make sense of their feelings and experiences, manage everyday challenges and develop healthier and stronger relationships with those around them.
My therapy room in North London is a calm, comfortable and confidential space designed to help children and young people feel at ease. There is room for younger children to play and express themselves creatively, while older children and adolescents can use the space to talk and reflect in a private setting.
I have experience working with children and young people with a wide range of difficulties, including complex mental health problems, autism and physical conditions, as well as those struggling with the day-to-day social and emotional challenges of growing up.
I am registered with the BPC (British Psychoanalytic Council) and the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
